I finally upgraded my desktop PC - dropped in a new motherboard, processor, and 32GB of DDR4-3600. Decided to go with AMD and bought a 3900x. Waaaay overkill for what I do, but it was reasonably cheap, install went smoothly and it's stupid fast. I had my Haswell i5 for about 6 years, so this build should last awhile.
