I have been googling for weeks now trying to find books or tutorials for old irix software.
The one I'm trying now is Houdini. But it's hard. So now I'm thinking to start this thread where people can post names of books yo may buy on eBay and such sites. Maybe there is links for old tutorials. It would be nice to create some library of ebooks about different irix software.
Maby somone is already sitting on a large collection.

ive been playing with Houdini lately, I don't think there are too many resources out there that I have been able to find. some software like maya has a ton of stuff, doesn't seem like houdini had that sort of love...

Yes the Houdini stuff is extremely hard to find. getting new current tutorials or books about the harry person.
If there only were names of books or old cgi sites you could use wayback machine to enter those.

Gijoe77 did you find any relevant information that is old enough to apply to the 6.5 version we have available for the irix machines?

eeebay always has Maya user guides and tutorial books available. I found most of my Maya 4 and Maya 5 training books there for good prices. Also I have purchased Softimage 3d hardcover books as well for very good prices. As far as Houdini and power animator, you have to wait till someone posts the original box sets for sale which is rare.
