Depends on which CPU it has. An R5k can run up to release 2001.
My SGI Hardware:
Indy SGI Indy (1997), R5000 @ 180MHz , 256MB RAM, GR3-XZ graphics, SCSI2SD v5.1 w/ 16GB µSD card, IRIX 6.5.22
O2  SGI O² (1996), R5000 @ 180MHz , 256MB RAM, 2 x 2.0GB SCSI HDD, IRIX 6.5
Other bits: SGI Indycam, Yamaha CRW2100SX-VK External SCSI CD drive, more software than you can poke a stick at.

Hmm. I don't see any reason Wildfire won't run, on any version of 6.5 ?

Prior to that, 2001 would be nicest but there was a 'method' to make 2000i work that was floating round years ago. I never tried on 6.2 or earlier versions of Irix, but there's a page somewhere at PTC that tells what version is certified for which hardware. 2000i ran on an R4k Indigo Elan at 6.5, no problem.

That's Wildfire2 .... but not sure about the original Wildfire. It was 32-bit on other Unixes .... but also, haven't seen an Irix version floating around, either.  Have seen 2000i though.
