Nonfree Software is returning

Nonfree Software is returning
You guys may recall when we hosted a ton of proprietary software and were forced shut that down by a hacker and nebulous threats of reporting us to Adobe and autodesk.

Well that will be coming back soon but it will be minus a lot of content. In order to protect the site, I am going to leave off any products that are now owned by Autodesk or Adobe which unfortunately includes a significant chunk of things that we know.

It also will not be a public ftpmirror so people will not be able to directly upload what they want it will only be http for security reasons.

We will come up with some variety of submission system in the future. I feel this is probably the best we can have for now until either Autodesk commit suicide or the dmca is somehow repealed; but as copyright law in the US and Europe has genuinely strengthened over the last 20 to 25 years I am not convinced that it will ever be possible to host that stuff again.

I appreciate everybody who understands the limitations and my cautiousness.

RE: Nonfree Software is returning
Nonfree mirror is coming back though content is slowly trickling in and I haven't had any chance organizing it. If someone wants to download and test, and suggest categories, I'm all ears. 90% of the stuff is of no direct interest to me.
