Nekoware Funding
Hello folks,

A quick, not-so-important update. If you have software you want ported to IRIX and put into Nekoware, one way you can help is by donating to Patreon or via Paypal. Any money over the next few months we get is going to go directly to solidcore instead of server costs. Solidcore is very smart and has been assisting me with porting stuff to IRIX.

If you don't feel like donating that's fine. But it would be incredibly helpful to our efforts.

If you want a paypal tip to go directly to solidcore, write "For solidcore" on the memo and I'll send it along to him!

Thank you!

RE: Nekoware Funding
Among the things solidcore has helped us port:

libao
faac
faad2 (still working on)
Dropbear 2019.78
libmpeg2
mpeg2decode
libdvdnav
pkgconf (later versions)
libtheora
cingb
lame
fontconfig

If you have a wishlist, by all means tell us.

I'm working on packaging all of this myself.

RE: Nekoware Funding
Dear irix users,

Hi there, I'd just like to say it is a privilege to work on porting software to IRIX. I do not own a SGI machine , and have not had the pleasure to use IRIX locally, however remotely I am truly surprised at how well designed IRIX is, of course, it lacks some features commonly found in Linux and later OS - at least IRIX is POSIX certified and It's a pleasure to work with!

Yeah I'm a SGI/IRIX n00b but I'm doing my bit.

Donations are appreciated and will go a long way.

Woah that list is getting bigger Raion, very nice Smile
