Outlook - uuuughhhhhh.

Yes, my paid job also require Windows sometimes (although all development work I can do on vi so I just login from whatever computer I am using at the moment).

But I was more asking when it comes to raw needs. Your job requires spreadsheets in Windows because your employer is using Excel. But it is technically possible to have a full-featured spreadsheet in every workstation platform from late 80s onwards.

Even music - I used to have Apple Music, but then I decided to dust off my mp3 collection. 850GB of curated stuff organised my myself and other musician friends. We used to exchange mp3s back in the day. I am just not very fond of paying rent to listen to music and if I am going about music, I try to buy the performer's album or find out what's the best way to send them cash directly.

My girlfriend's cousin is a very accomplished violinist (think Nobel Prize Ceremony soloist level), and with dozens of thousands of hits per day on spotify, she gets around 20 EUR per month.
(yes, that's another story - I just always like to put this information out)

Modern platforms are indeed more convenient when it comes to content consumption, but our hobby machines are not unable to play music.

(of course, I would never go about hosting a blog exposing an IRIX box to the Internet)

And no idea about Quicken and accounting. I've heard of the program but never seen it running or know anyone personally who uses it.
Or had access to a DAT tape, except for backups =)))))))

He cut up the case, it can no longer be used for its original purpose.   I'd like a new fuel case where can I find one of those? Oh wait I can't.

You kind of can, but in 10 years of searching, I haven't been able to find one.
The Fuel case is actually a rebadged and modified Palo Alto PA-810. The most notable modification is the whole front plate.
(This not the current Palo Alto the networking company).
I've had an ebay search planted for 10 years and may have seen it once...

There's a tiny glimpse of what it looks like here:

I guess if someone got ahold of that "Amiga" modified Fuel case and an original PA-810 case, it might be possible to frankenstein a Fuel case back into what it should have been...

Cheers
