this one is not restricted to sgi alone but includes most other well known contenders as well. the program in question is legato (later emc and dell today) networker. they had a public ftp (
ftp.legato.com) for at least 2 decades. so this is nothing shady but just a copy of a public archive.
unfortunately i stopped downloading stuff from there after 2005. they used to name the folders by year and quarter. like 2003Q4 for the fourth quarter of 2003. the full address would have been
ftp.legato.com/pub/eval/2003Q4. you get the idea.
what i'm particularly interested in are the 7.3.4 versions. or at least 7.3.2. the 7.3.4 folder was 2008Q2 and 7.3.2 was in 2006Q3.
if you should have these versions in any other form i'd of course be interested as well. and if you should have more from this ftp i'd definitely be interested, too.
much thanks for any of this stuff in advance

There's a demo on the Hot Mix 8 CD. It has an authorize button on launch that can presumably make it the full version.

Can anyone point me towards Alias PowerAnimator 7.0?

Another question! I'm looking for a version of NEdit that can run on 5.3. Actually, I'd like to write HTML code on 5.3, let me know if there's a better option than NEdit.
https://rainbow.ldeo.columbia.edu/documentation/sgi-faq/apps/6.html says there's a version and an accompanying patch that works, but I think it's lost to time...

IIRC the first Webforce Indys ran 5.3. You should check out
WebMagic, which was bundled.
If any form of WYSIWYG editor is not your thing, jot and emacs are going to give you the '90s experience.
I can't remember if nedit was on the first Freeware CD, but nedit, emacs, and Xemacs are all on Freeware 2.0, which I think will install on 5.3.
Xemacs FTW! IMHO
This reminds me...
Does anyone have the Wacom 4.5.1 (or 4.5.2) driver software?
Apparently that was a working version that I had installed under IRIX 6.2, but is no longer functioning (broken sym links or something, not sure)
I'm running version 3.2 to reasonable effect, but the control panel is troublesome and hasn't allowed me to convince it that my ARTPAD's pen has an eraser.
Thanks!
