My first look at Flame 2008 SP-6
Here's my first official look at this software:

If you're knowledgable about Flame, please let me know if I'm seeing what I'm meant to be seeing.  As far as I can tell, there is only a problem with the position of the "preferences" button. (So it should be usable, right?)

I suppose it was never really meant to run dual screen in that way, but everything else looks right.

You can't run the flame interface over two screens. You are asking for problems old chap. Flame is not a windowed system, it takes over the whole screen and relies on what the OS depicts as your display.

The video showed nothing other than you trying to find the preference button I'm afraid. I hat e to be harsh, but not your best video.

Sorry.

No offense taken.

The point of the video was to show the current setup and get advice.

Once I get it up and running properly, I’ll make a proper video.

The big problem I have here is that there isn’t an option to run at 1@1920x1080_60

so this was the thing I was thinking about but didn't mention - you should of had an option to do 2@1920x1080_60 (or 1920x1154 or whatever is available), or just a regular 1920X1154 without dualscreen option. seems odd to me you dont have a single screen option

edit: what I mean is there is usualy a setting that just mirrors your primary screen to you secondary screen

The only option for 1920x1080_60 that is available to me is: 2@1920x1028_60_ds

My monitor bombs out if I try a res such as 1920x1154 or 2@1600x1024_83 for that matter.

Cool. I've played around with Effect on some O2 systems but could never get very far, the discreet apps had their own unique workflows and looked very different from the typical timeline-based compositing / effects / editing package. Piranha is much more user-friendly in that regard, probably not nearly as powerful though.

RE: My first look at Flame 2008 SP-6
Here's some progress that I've made with Flame.

It's not a complete success yet though, as I'm presently not able to store frames to the frame store. (The error which Flame gives me is: "cannot create lock")

Any inputs with regards to this would be much appreciated.
