Photoshop 3.0 licensing

Photoshop 3.0 licensing
So in a state of mental derangement i bought an original copy of photoshop 3.01 for IRIX
The license should be unused but i guess if i make a license request for a 30 year old software adobe will send me killer robots from hell or something.
Is there a way to get this running? I found the photoshop irix copy also online (https://fsck.technology and other places) but that hasn't a license.dat or will run other than in demo mode, or at least i was unable to get it running.

I have the haxxforce license.dat and whatnot, but that doesn't include the adobe product(s)

Any ideas?

No, they'll just ignore you :-)

The original cracks did not use license.dat, they did a hex edit of one of the files. I did it once, the instruction were floating around, but most of the copies of photoshop and illustrator on the net were already cracked.

RE: Photoshop 3.0 licensing
With that info i quickly found the post and have a running photoshop 3.01 now.
Thanks a lot.

For reference
Code:
Use your favorit hex editor and edit:
/usr/adobe/Photoshop_3.0.1/lib/src.so
offset: 0x0046fa50 old_value: 0x14400018 new_value: 0x10000018
offset: 0x0046fae8 old_value: 0x104000c0 new_value: 0x100000c0

If you have the older version edit:
/usr/adobe/Photoshop_3.0/lib/src.so
offset: 0x0046fe7c old_value: 0x14400018 new_value: 0x10000018
offset: 0x0046ff14 old_value: 0x104000c0 new_value: 0x100000c0

Wait, which file did you change to get this working? And what IRIX hex editor did you use?

Sorry, I know this is an old thread but I am also having issues getting this to install correctly.

Thank you!

If you check out the Sun release of Photoshop on the fsck site the license.dat there also works for IRIX. No hacking required!

RE: Photoshop 3.0 licensing
Currently the fsck page has adobe.dat and a readme on how to use it. However, when I follow it the license isn’t recognized. Does Photoshop have a flexlm license directory I’m unaware of?
