Hello I have a r10k indigo2 and trying to use a scsi2sd v6 board to bring it back to life. When I connect the board and run hinv I don't see any drives listed.

I have the board set to scsi-2 and parity. I have set up on drive to be id 1 and used seagate as the vendor and the model as a 2 gig drive and set the size to 2 gigs. I plugged this in to the drive tray and do see the activity light flash on during power up.

Any ideas on what I might be missing here?

Did you flash the latest firmware on the SCSI2SD device?
And are there any other SCSI devices (disk, cdrom) in the indigo2?

Try removing all SCSI devices, save the SCSI2SD and see if responds. Also don't use termination on the device. The chain is internally terminated.

the board is on the latest firmware 6.21

I have tried with and without the cd drive connected (externally). Tried termination on/off in the scsi2sd settings.

Still no luck with it showing up.

Thinking maybe to put it into the cd enclosure as a test instead of the drive sled.

Does the SCSI2SD work when connected to another host (a PC or something else)?

It does show up as a drive when connected via usb to a windows box. To test via SCSI I would have to dig out a card to connect it to a pc.

I tried a few other variations on settings and so far nothing has worked. I also am wondering if the plug on the sled that goes to the activity led needs to be connected to something. I wouldn't think so.

strange - I have a SCSI2SD v6 I used with no issues on an Indigo2. Unfortunately I posted all the details and screenshots of my setting to nekochan right before it died. If your still having issues I can try to dig it up and see how I had it configured
