Just to let everybody know what's going on with our FTP services: 

About a year ago DefaultRouteUK let me know that his US colo space was winding down. 

In that year I obtained a new server (as in physical hardware) to replace that but I have not gotten around to getting it installed and set up with a Colo here in the United States because of cost at the moment. 

I've had a lot of serious expenses in the last year and I'm not asking for anybody to give me any money or anything. I will be able to afford this once I have far less on my plate but for example I've had to attend five weddings in the last 2 years, and hotel bills rack up a lot of money. I've also had a pretty shaky cash flow primarily because I get paid commission at my current job. I have plenty of money in the grand scheme of things but I'm not going to start hustling and potentially having to go into debt even temporarily to put up the server because my goal with this is to make sure that I have at least 6 months of expenses to pay up front, mostly because I despise monthly expenses and I find it a lot easier to manage when I can do it on a 90 or 180 day. 

So that's where we're at the moment. I have an entire copy of the contents of the FTP. 

If somebody would like to temporarily host the contents I would be more than happy to transfer a copy of those contents to you. My only request is that you place FTP and HTML messages on your pages that indicate that you are not directly associated with IRIXNet. 

To that end if anybody wants to host any type of files or whatnot I'm happy to start providing subdomains and content and guidance. I don't currently have the time to handle this and it's probably going to be a number of months before we are able to bring the system back up online but once we do, rest assured there will be plenty of space and I am going to actually set up some type of upload system so that people who want to share things with us for distribution can do so. 

Thank you guys very much for understanding and hopefully we can set up some stop gaps in the short term.

I've owned irix.host for a while but I haven't done anything with it. Setting up a mirror for our FTP seems like a pretty good use of the domain to me. Just let me know what the best way is for me to get a copy of the files and I'll set something up as soon as I'm able to.

You can try ftp.irix.host. I'm still without the time to drive the new server to Lenoir to get it set up
