Indy - boot tune but no green LED?

Indy - boot tune but no green LED?
I have what seems to be the opposite problem from many threads about boot problems with Indys. Here is my sequence after pressing the power button:

1) Brief (1 second) red LED light
2) Boot tune, after red LED has turned off.
3) No green LED at all...
4) No video output (however this is being dually converted, see below).
5) A brief press of the power button is all that's required to instantly turn the Indy off.

I've tested the molex power plug and I see stable +12 and +5, so I hope my (Sony) power supply is good.  The fan is not moving, but I understand the Sonys can do this under low load. CPU heatsink (and underside of case) definitely feels warm, so I have reason to believe things are powering up.

I have the appropriate 12-DIP-switch 13w3 to VGA cable, but unfortunately need to then adapt that to HDMI, which I could easily imaging is a bridge too far. No results on any of the three SGI options that I can set the adapter to.

I also don't have (but can obtain) a DB25 to mini-DIN 8 cable to check the serial output. Perhaps this would be the next step, to check console output?

Would re-seating the CPU and RAM help me get to a Green LED?

Thanks for any thoughts...

Nope. The boot tunes are played by code running on the CPU.
I would suspect that the physical LED is dead as can happen with any type of lamp or indicator. After opening the PSU, you can test it with a DMM set to diode mode.
