Found old IRIX security paper useful for beginners
Whilst searching the web i came across a security paper from 2005 describing procedures to harden and secure an IRIX workstation. Its main focus is on version 6.5.26, but i believe it is very applicable to any 6.5.2x and 6.5.30 installation. It contains a lot of information what to do when you have just finished an IRIX install and want to tune it further, such as disabling unneeded daemons, locking users and setting kernel parameters. Have a look at:

Thanks!

I also have a copy of the old wiki article on post installation setup I still use. Gets a bit thin toward the end but has most of the important stuff.

No longer active. Please do not contact me.
