RE: How to create a new user
If you have access to the System Manager in 6.5 you can create a new user through "Security and Access Control" -> "User Manager" -> "Add a User Account".

Otherwise if you are logged in as root and have access to the console:

/usr/sysadm/privbin/addUserAccount -l your_user_name

You may need to provide an userid and groupid.
