Mouse in PROM but not on desktop
So I've completed my R5k -> R12k cassis swap on my O2, for some reason my Microsoft Usb with ps2 adapter mouse is now behaving oddly, very jerky. I've put this down to the ps2 adapter, it worked fine before though. Anyhow, I've plugged in a Ps2 mouse that works fine in the Prom but it refuses to respond to input in Irix... no movement at all. Any ideas?

Couldn't figure it out...I've done my R5k -> 250Mhz R10K upgrade and this afternoon have completed the 300Mhz R12k mod on the R10k pimm. I've done a quick clean install of 6.5.26 and the mouse is back. Weird.

Hm, you might want to run an IDE which can warn you about possible future surprises. It's not super thorough though.

I'd been using the previous .22m install as a bit of a testbed for samba, nfs etc and had done some tinkering, so not surprised I managed to bork something. I'll put .30 on the O2 now to match it with my Octane.
I'll do a post on the chassis upgrade and separately one for the 300mhz mod, as I know the Nekochan thread on the subject is dead. There is a french forum with some details of the mod but that is also half dead.
