Broken O2 with solid red power LED

Broken O2 with solid red power LED
Hi all,

For a really low price I bought a broken O2 with the idea of possibly fixing it, but the O2 turns out to be super broken. Case was pretty bad, bits and pieces everywhere (already before shipping but did not improve).

On powerup I get a solid red light. From the Neko O2 troubleshooting guide that means broken CPU board. Is there any testing I can do to verify the board?

I reseated the CPU and moved the jumper next to the Dallas to closed position. No change.

Can a broken Dallas be the cause of non boot?

Null-modem cable, check serial output. Reseat all RAM (maybe mix the ram around to be sure, and use a contact cleaner)

In and of itself, no. Obviously though, you'll want to replace it.

No luck yet.

Reseated everything but there is 0 output on the serial (null modem to PC, verified working cable).

I’ve ordered contact cleaner to try that.
