OP has an Octane and very basic equipment at that so he has no way to boot a CD

Meanwhile, we are back to cold spring days, so the gpu is helping regulate the temperatures in the room.

OP will probably get the parts for the zulu scsi before I am done with the password file next week, but now I am curious to see what is the password Biggrin

I am very curious about that as well, but I don't want you to feel obligated to do it.

First of all, thank you for your help and advice
I got the parts to connect the ZuluSCSI to the SCSI external port, it was super simple after that to change the root password.
I got access to my computer and I can reinstall the system if I need to as well.

Good to know you managed. I may keep it running for a while longer, while the cold spring days continue. Smile

Was there anything interesting installed in the machine, or was it mainly a matter of not reinstalling?
