INTRODUCING - Cost Reduced SGI Fuel ATX converter adapters
Hi there,

It's been a while, but I haven't been hibernating.
I'd like to introduce, a COST REDUCED (yes, cheaper) version of my famous ATX Adapters for SGI Fuel.
I've been working on this design for a while now (busy busy), but in short, here are the major differences from the standard version (which I will continue making):
  • No LED's - there's no standby nor power on LED.
  • No signal generator jumper, there's only one fan signal provided that FUEL requires.
  • No kickstart button. If you need the button to troubleshoot your (broken) Fuel, please buy the standard board.
  • You might also notice that one of the on the upper right 6-8-pin connector is not populated - that's because such plugs are not available on the market, I did design the holes anyway to future-proof the design. The actual plug has always been 6-pins.

Basically, the cheaper boards save me a few minutes of assembly time and a maybe a dollar in parts...

Now, which one should you choose?:

If you have a Fuel that you're confident is working and don't need any troubleshooting, this is the board for you.

But, if your Fuel "just broke", or is in unknown condition (such as been in storage for years), then I strongly recommend the standard version that will help you safely troubleshoot the machine and bring it back to life.

I have a handful of them in stock, currently waiting for approval on Tindie, and listing them on eBay right now.

Cheers

As a note, please support Kuba with ATX adapter sales. Yes they cost more, but it also supports a community guy vs some nobody.
