Curl is losing 32-bit support. Farewell!
I understand his reasoning, and older curl versions will be available for classic use. I suspect that 32-bit will not go away as quickly or quietly as many believe. 

It just reminds me all of our systems are slowly gonna be obsoleted. At some point we need to consider "stable" versions that can be backported and worked over.

As long as we can keep these workstations running, I would never consider them to be obsolete. I use mine for (among other things) Maya and Shake, and the Maya developers have even made public comments that the core code really hasn't changed since 2006.
