Sun Ultra 5 NVRAM replacement problem
I have replaced the dead NVRAM chip in my system with a ST M48T59Y-70PC1D chip. The computer has been printing the message "Data miss compare" to the terminal for the last 20 minutes. I read somewhere that the chip may need a hostid to work but I am unsure about that. I am not sure what the issue is. Thank you.

RE: Sun Ultra 5 NVRAM replacement problem
You need to program the new NVRAM.
Perhaps this helps
