Hi Everyone,

I'm not sure whether intro posts are encouraged or allowed, but here we go...

I first got into SGIs in the early 2000s and used an R10k Indigo2 as my daily driver for quite a few years. I did have a Challenge L for a while, but I ran out of space and sold it to Ian Mapleson in 2005. As well as the Indigo2, I've got an O2, and Indy and an Indigo, and two SGI branded monitors. I rescued many O2s once from Leeds University, and took them down to Ian Butler who ran 13w3.com.

I also had a website called microcosmos.co.uk which disappeared when the domain was not renewed.

My collection ended up in the attic for a number of years due to life being busy, having young kids etc, but I extracted it all last year and tested everything out. I'm in the early stages of getting back into things, and I'll be moving it all into a new garden office this summer.

It seems there are still a few of us left, and it looks like some newcomers to the scene too.

Current status of everything:

• Indigo2 R10k High Impact + Phobos G160 - working fine
  
• Indy R4400 - errors on the serial monitor, not booting, possible PSU problem
  
• Indigo R3000 - working fine, but after a a while the PSU shut down
  
• O2 - working fine
  
• 20E21 monitor - working OK, but kept going blank, might have been the cheap HDMI to VGA adapter I was using to test with
  
• 17" monitor, power up OK, but blank screen, however I think it needs sync on green so no picture when testing with a PC
