I made this video to give you a noise comparison between this monster, the SGI Tezro and the Mac Pro 2013.

For those of you who think that the Tezro's loud, take a listen to this:

Note that the V880z's noise output reduces significantly once the operating system comes up, so what you're hearing here is the reduced noise output from this monster!

Difficult to differenciate but for me both are too noisy. I prefere your "fly-over" video. ;-)

At a later stage I can maybe do a flyby video for you, but the V880z will simply drown out the noise that the Tezro makes!


As for my flying experience:

I currently fly for the SAAF and am flying instructor qualified with experience on the following types:

Pilatus PC-7 MKII trainer (Instructor qualified on type)



Aloette III helicopter (Initial Rotor Wing conversion)



Atlas Oryx helicopter (Maritime and NVG qualified)



C-47TP Turbo Dakota (Maritime qualified)



CASA 212 (Used in a tactical role)



My initial flying training was carried out on the Pilatus PC7-MKII back in 2003, from there I was streamed to fly helicopters and underwent my basic rotor wing conversion on the Aloette III helicopter in the first half of 2004, and my Oryx conversion during the latter part of that year.

Once qualified on the Oryx helicopter, I flew that platform from 2004 up until the end of 2011 and finished as a maritime commander on type.

I started my instructors conversion on the Pilatus PC7-MKII at the beginning of 2012 and completed the course during the latter part of that year. I continued to serve as an ab initio instructor on that type up until the end of 2014.

I had always wanted to get some experience flying transport aircraft, so at the end of 2014, I was lucky enough to get a line change to the transport line.

Once in the transport line, I initially flew the C-47TP "Turbo Dakota" and completed the maritime operational conversion on type. (This is definitely the most challenging aircraft I've ever flown, as it can really push your piles in during the landing roll.) I flew this type up until mid 2016.

I am currently flying the CASA 212 aircraft. What she lacks in looks she definitely makes up for in the way she flies, the control harmony's almost perfect!

I am currently manoeuvring into a position where I can be transferred to our VIP Squadron, where I'll get to fly Dassault Falcon and Boeing aircraft.

This is where my flying career will end. (Once I'm a commander on these types, I think I'll call it a day.)
