Flame 2008: Effective User ID not 0 (root) ! - my fault

Flame 2008: Effective User ID not 0 (root) ! - my fault
A dumb thing i did today was starting flame as root in flame's home:
Now i get: Effective User ID not 0 (root) !
Aborting...

and cannot start flame anymore   Rolleyes

I know I shouldn't do it but somehow it worked out. 
How do I get rid of this?
I have already over-installed flame but that doesn't work either.

erase the complete flame home directory after uninstall before new installation worked for me
