I agree with you about google, they threw out their "don't be evil" moniker decades ago. For search I use duckduckgo and brave, I've never used chrome, I've been using mozilla since their beta release in 1994, is it the "best" browser? Who knows, but I don't use the www for much so that's probably why it's good enough for me. Typically, all I use the www for is to check price and availability for the stuff we need to buy to accomplish our contract deliverables, generally just electronics websites like digikey and jameco and mouser, etc. I do like to check the "machine tools for sale" websites, I'd really like to buy another 6A SIP hydroptic jig borer, but, as is also the case with SGI workstations, the price just keeps going up. In the case of Octanes on flea-bay, the sellers are asking well upward of a thousand dollars, whereas I bought my Octane2 for $180 US in 2007; those days are gone forever. So for any members who still haven't gotten their SGI yet, you'd better strike while the iron is hot, because the price is just going to keep going up.
