I need a volunteer from the community to join me on a project
I am currently working on something quite exciting but I'm not ready to reveal a significant portion of the details. I am looking to get someone who has good Bourne or Perl experience primarily, as we have a number of preexisting scripts that interface with a preexisting infrastructure and need to be rewritten to conform to IRIX.

You must be able to understand shell scripts including ones with nested variables, and write them without bashisms. Alternatively, we can do them in Perl.

The contents of this project are under secrecy, so I must ask for someone who understands discretion and isn't going to mouth off about the project once it's contents are known.

Message me or post here, it doesn't matter, and I'll get back to you soon.

I'm the system admin of this site. Private security technician, licensed locksmith, hack of a c developer and vintage computer enthusiast.

Technical problems should be sent my way.

I've written a lot of Perl, here's a screenshot of a program I wrote to implement a webstore for my friend's fishing equipment business, we even got a writeup in the Minneapolis daily newspaper. Also got a US patent on our minnow bucket design:

Project: Temporarily lost at sea
Plan: World domination! Or something...
