Michalis Pastras wrote a very comprehansive guide to VFO compilation for various boardsets. He goes into detail about his 1600x1024 attempts for the O2 on page 27 of his guide. (I saved the guide to my dropbox for future use). He also covers the V6/V8 timing bug and suitable work-around resolutions.

Going to try 1600x1000 myself this weekend on my 1920x1200 Dell as the 1600sw isn't doing my eyes any good with the pixel pitch and panel size. It means I can have one of the HP's back on my desk for my mac pro.

Compiling VFO files is not my cup of tea, but it could be Recondas indeed who has done it before.
