All right.
My default shell is tsch.

In env, I have:
LIGHTWAVE=/usr/lightwave/Bin

In .profile:
No references to Lightwave.

In .cshrc:
serene LIGHTWAVE /usr/lightwave/Bin (explains env above).

In the application itself, within Options:
Content Directory: /usr/lightwave
(I think this is where your problem is)
