I'm sort of new to the SGI world... I ventured here back in the late '90's purchased an Impact2, got frustrated and sold it after about a year.
Being a gluten for punishment I just acquired a rack mount Tezro with fitted with a bunch of SW I'd like to keep. uname -R is reporting 6.5 6.5.28m. Is it possible to patch to .30 without doing a fresh install and formatting the drive?
Ultimate goal is to put this beast into my rack (out of my office) and X into 3d apps via XQuartz.
So far I've successfully backed the box up. Got NFS mounts working, I'm fighting X right now, getting close, but still needs work. My thinking is I need to change over to OpenSSH. But the thought was 'shouldn't I patch the OS first?'
