Remote single app options
What are the options for remote display for a single app? E.g. run on another display and display on an SGI.
What I know of is:
- xpra (Linux) (unknown irix compatibility)
- RDP/seamlessrdp/RAIL (Windows) (rdesktop 1.5 does not support this mode)
- VNC (Linux) (still unclear on whether this could work on irix)
Anecdotally, for full screen stuff I’ve found vnc terribly slow with RDP being a bit better. No real experience with xpra.

I know VNC works, with its issues. I think I once saw someone run a free xserver (forgot what its called - id have to do some digging) on a windows system and it was able to get the xdm login screen on Solaris, I figured perhaps that can work with IRIX, never really dug deeper into it (xdmcp comes to mind, I really don't know if it helps any with irix).
I suppose this is something I really should have looked into years ago...
