Lightwave 5.6 - Screamernet Init
Hi,
very specific question, LW5.6 has ScreamerNet built in but I have been completely unable t get ti to work - it never connects to the jobs/finds a CPU to connect to after using the init commands in the terminal, eg:

LWSN -2 job1 ack1

I have command directory pointed correctly -> /usr/lightwave/Bin and $PATH is set for LIGHTWAVE

I'm able to get this to work on Amigas using LWSN, has anyone managed to get it going on IRIX?

I've tried my user account and root but no joy.

RE: Lightwave 5.6 - Screamernet Init
Well, go me....after suspecting it had something to do with file permissions, I moved content to a usr folder but it was still no go...hmm

The magic trick is to point the command directory to a usr folder and this is where LWSN will store job1, ack1, job2, ack2 etc. YAY!!!

Now the true test is to get the content on an NFS share and render across the network with multiple Octane! <3

That would be cool indeed! The day I have a second SGI I'll try. =)))))
It could perhaps work via internet.
