Hi Weblacky & robespierre,

thanks for feedback, lots of possible things to check.

I did the simple thing and tried an alternate L2 and got the same lack of contrast.

And yes the slider is contrast/brightness control.

I also have a second longer SCSI cable and when I use this I get vertical striations , so there must be bad line in cable.

Also as note to potential users, the L2 will not enable the display if the L2 serial number is not set.
