Late March Update
Just touching base with everyone:

I've got a small update planned for the forum to correct a few security issues on March 23rd (well, I'm technically on the 23rd, but I mean tomorrow evening) and the forum will be briefly offline while I apply the security fixes, verify they're fixed etc.

IRIX CE was put on hold for a few weeks while I worked on a secret project with Solidcore. Now that that's hit a stumbling block, I will resume work - priority is as follows:

1. Update any dependencies that received a version bump
2. Update spec and idb files, double check they're right
3. Build for MIPS IV
4. Once MIPS IV is out, do a MIPS III build
5. Verify no pressing issues people report
6. Proceed to next roadmap.

IRIXCE Patchsets, at least, I plan every quarter or every half year. We'll see how quickly our dependencies get version bumps and stuff. When more stuff is added on, we'll adjust the release schedule as needed.

As for IRIXNet news, here's a few ones:

Axatax got hired to a new job, and he's moving closer to me, so expect further cooperation updates on NW2 sometime in the next few months. I'm sorry things have been delayed constantly with that, but distance makes it hard to cooperate with Axatax being a busy man and all, and we don't have a proper commit platform setup yet.

MyBB has a major release update planned this year, not the 1.9 I've been hankering for, but it's something. Part of this hopefully will be some news on fixing some non-security related bugs (the copy/paste issues in the text box are a big one)

I will release a new "optxeno" with a MIPS III version as well.

With the stimulus, I'm currently selecting some hardware stateside for some servers that will host some related stuff for IRIXNet and such. I don't have a clear plan in action yet, but stay tuned.

I'm still working on a few other updates, including some compiler things. Eventually, one thing I've been wanting to do is have a colleague of mine who patched MIPSPro 7.1 patch MIPSPro 7.4.4m to remove the license check (there is a "flexlm" file on the wiki for that though... not linking but search it)

Wiki plans this year include a system-specific FAQ.

Also, there's another thing I'll discuss in the upcoming month or so in another update.

I hope this isn't too dry or boring. I don't wanna be dramatic but the last year's pandemic craziness took a lot out of me emotionally and physically, along with the wreck and subsequent medical issues. I'm fine. I have a lot to be thankful for, and I'm not a victim or anything. I'd like to especially thank the other admins, Dexter1, Kaigan, Dodoid and Micrex22, for their continued helpful input and support, as well as the wonderful community we've cultivated here. I love you guys (no homo).

Regarding the mips pro patch, I rolled a patch years ago and uploaded it eventually. Flexlm is a hassle.

Patching binaries when keygens and HOST=ANY license have been floating around for decades? You've got to be kidding me...

RE: Late March Update
Small update, doesn't have to have its own thread:

Per mamed's posts here: https://forums.irixnet.org/thread-2726.html

I've been talking with him and it looks like I'm going to be offering my Tezro and Origin 350 to developers to allow them to develop USB on IRIX further.

Power costs in the US are going up, so if you feel inclined to help out, you can donate to our Patreon or make a one-time donation via CashApp. If you tag it in Cashapp for that, or send a message to the Patreon account confirming the subscription is for that, then I'll make sure it is applied to my power budget - otherwise any overruns will go to devs like BSDero, solidcore, and mamed.

RE: Late March Update
Small April Update:

Some additional upgrades were performed to the Wiki, the forums and a few other systems to secure them and help alleviate potential vulnerabilities. My main focus got sidetracked again as I've been preparing my systems for usage by remote development teams.

A huge portion of my free time has been helping a family member recover from a major operation. That has been responsible for my relative inactiveness as of late.

I hope to have some updates available quite soon on the promised things, it's coming guys.
