IRIX Desktop for Linux

RE: IRIX Desktop for Linux
The main concern is that Eric has made promises, and then broken them without explanation, and potentially committed license infringement along the way. The fact he can't produce the actual agreement is a huge red flag to me.

Edit 2021:

I'm not gonna make a new post, but for posterity sake I am gonna summarize the sins that the developer of Maxx desktop has done:
  • Misled the community with claims of a license agreement between SGI and/or HPE he has never produced nor given actual details about
  • Broken promises regarding ports to other OSes, platforms etc.
  • When me and a few others got it working under linuxulator and informed him, his response was to break it on Linuxulator without response/rationale.
  • Repeatedly has promised to release source or address concerns I and others bring up and yet will dismiss these later on.
  • Is a grifter and thief who only surrounds himself with yes men.

Technical problems should be sent my way.

RE: IRIX Desktop for Linux
Have installed UBUNTU 20 to test out maxx desktop, the installation whent fine but ..
The damn gnome applications continue to look equaliy as ugly as when you run them on the default ubuntu desktop.
Theres a way to make them look more normal ? using the same windows manager as the desktop ?.
