What PCI USB cards work with Fuel/ Tezro
Hey guys,
I have used PCI USB cards in the past with O350s and Fuels, but I lost that info when necochan went away. Embarrassing as I sold probably 30 O350/ Vpro systems with  USB cards.

Does anybody know what cards ( other than the SGI one)  that works in these?
Thanks,
John

From my own experience and the Higher Intellect wiki's list, the Belkin F5U220 is your best bet for a USB card on the Chimera machines. I've used them in my deskside Tezro, my O350, and also my Altix systems with good success. They're fairly inexpensive on eBay.

For other options, there's also the Belkin N10117 (which includes Firewire), but I think my results were a little mixed with it. Finally, the Higher Intellect wiki mentions the Adaptec AUA 3020 Rev B (and specifically the Rev B - Rev A caused a Fuel to fail to boot).

Been meaning to rewrite stuff like that - can't just wholesale import into the wiki, that'd be 100% UNPROFESSIONAL. Yes, I want the Wiki to be nice.

SGI USB PCI card, SGI part number 9210286 (This is the one in my machine.)

SGI USB PCI card, SGI part number 9210286: NEC chipset - Slotted for 3.3 and 5V PCI applications. SGI equipped Onyx 350 InfiniteReality and InfinitePerformance systems with this card as an attachment point for USB keyboards and mice. There are some references on TechPubs indicating Orange Micro as the OEM, while "UP205-0525" screened on the PCB returns Adaptec references. It appears in an hinv with a PCI vendor ID of 0x1033 (NEC) PCI device numbers 0x0035(Dual OHCI controllers plus Single EHCI controller) and 0x00e0(USB 2.0 Host Controller).

This has been said to work in IP35 based systems: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Used-Belkin-F5U...Sw5Epb7JaN

Looks like the SGI flavor, but is Belkin

@Irinikus, can you post a clear photo of the NEC ASIC?

Thanks !

I have ordered several different cards from ebay,  when they get here I will test them all and do a post on the results.

If you guys have any suggestions:

https://wiki.irixnet.org/USB-Cards

I also can make them myself if you provide more cards or information I should add!
