Raion, checking in from Mozilla 1.0.2 on Windows. Will try on a variety of systems, including SGI and not-SGI.

RE: HTTP Gateway Check-In
Morning All,

This is a great feature and your effort is totally appreciated. The comments below are purely constructive and my experience may be human error.

I'm not sure if I did something wrong but I checked the radio button in UserCP then logged into the form using Sea Monkey on IRIX6.5. The link I used was the main site irixnet.org. The experience was fine although I don't think I had the right page so I added /classic on the end of the URL. Anyway I've attached the screen shots.

Then I tried under Netscape and the experience was totally different. The fonts and style jumped out, it was beautiful. However I was not permitted to login and I tried three times in case it was my fat fingers.

RE: HTTP Gateway Check-In
Netscape doesn't appreciate the way that NGINX is redirecting things. I don't understand why? It may be a cookies issue, it may be related to NGINX, but I don't know the cause. We'll have a gitea up soonish, but it's not quite ready for primetime code hacking on. The reason the site isn't viewable without logging is for a myriad reasons.

and yeah, it's not redirecting you automatically. Because this is still experimental, I don't feel comfortable doing user agent autoredirects.

Okay, re-read your post. I misunderstood. Please ONLY login on http://forums.irixnet.org/classic using old browsers. You are using the wrong side of the forum and that's what's causing the authorization code mismatch issue. But yes, I'm aware on the classic side Netscape doesn't work. It could be a server config issue, but since these are sharing webserver configs with the main forum, I can't downgrade the security. That's not gonna happen, at least for the foreseeable future.

As for it not auto-redirecting, and you using irixnet.org/classic to try and login, that's the wrong thing to do! I can't update the links yet because:

1. The forum isn't viewable without logging in from the classic side, which would break SEO massively.

2. This is experimental.

3. I don't want to set this as a replacement yet.

RE: HTTP Gateway Check-In
I can report that the HTTP Gateway works well on Mozilla 1.7.8 on SLES9 from my Prism.

It doesn't work in Konqueror, but I'm not overly concerned about that. Biggrin

Well, that's interesting. If we can get an exhaustive list, I can bring it up and see if we can correct some of the issues.
