So what's the deal with Java on IRIX?
I haven't been able to find many threads on Java, I just remember reading that Java on IRIX does not work very well.

So I wonder: What's the latest Java version that works on IRIX?
I think I read it was Java 1.4 somewhere, which would be quite nostalgic for me, as this was the version I started with!

And what are issues I'd run into when running a JVM on IRIX?

Jvm 1.3 according to OpenOffice. Sorry for the delay. I can't find any references to 1.4 but I could be wrong - i don't even install the java components usually.

JDK 1.4.1_06 on the later 6.5.x overlays (applications disc).

It's not fun.
