Hello,

Does Blender start normaly ?
Is this file doesn't come from a higher version ?
I Suggest you to install the latest version avelable for Irix : 2.48a

https://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.48a/

RE: Trouble with Blender 2.41
It starts normally, can render, but crashes when opening models.
Will try the 2.48, thank you very much !

Complains about python 2.5.2 not present, and crashes with a Bus Error just after "Continuing Happily"...

Have you ever install Python on your workstation ?

Try install this nekoware version : http://nekofiles.irixnet.org/nekoware/cu....3.tardist
I found this on the official Python website (look in other platforms) : https://www.python.org/downloads/release/python-252/

RE: Trouble with Blender 2.41
Python 2.5.2 installed. and using 2.45 release of blender. Python is found.
I did some tests, simply saving the demo scene and reloading it. No crash.

So I suppose there is a compatibility problem with scenes saved with scenes > 2.45

Ok, I got some tests from https://download.blender.org/demo/test/
and the compatibility comes from the release. No problem with the tests Smile

thank you !

RE: Trouble with Blender 2.41
Great !
I really invite you to use the version 2.48a because in there's more lot of powerful features than there's in the version 2.45 (and for the little story, I'm the autor of the 2.45's splash screen :-) ).

RE: Trouble with Blender 2.41
There is Blender 2.49a also available for IRIX
(I have no idea if it is an improvement over the 2.48a release...)

It can be found on the usual Blender download site there:
https://download.blender.org/release/Blender2.49a/

... and it starts just fine :
