RockRidge ISO / Image Burning on OS X 10.15
Just getting back into setting up a Fuel and re-living days of yesteryear... What software can I use to burn the ISO images so that the SGI can read them? I used to be able to do it on older OS X with Toast.. Any help is appreciated.

Can't wait to get PA and Maya running again..

IRIX has no support for RockRidge/Joliet formats and can not boot from ISO-9660 CDs. It's native format is EFS, which most SGI supplied software was shipped as. You'll need to find the images, and use a program that can do DAO mode burning.

If you need to transfer data between your machines don't burn CDs. That's the dumb way of doing it. Hook your machine into the network and use FTP or NFSv3.

Technical problems should be sent my way.

Agreed on that but if you do want to burn CD's or DVD's for other purposes, the Schilly cdrecord tools build fine under Irix and work great. The initial switches on your command line are a pain to figure out but once you do, burning a DVD is faster, easier, and smoother than any other way. XCDRoast is sort of a pain in the butt in comparison.

AND some of Schilly's tools, for example probing a scsi chain, are faster and more comprehensive than any other method. I use to use that all the time in cases of "what the heck is going on with that disk ?" or similar.
