Hey!

I installed RapidApp 1.1 on my SGI Indigo2 with IRIX 6.5.2.2. A few windows come up that say that it is loading, but then it closes.

Does RapidApp work on IRIX 6.5 for anyone else?

RapidApp needs a license.

Since RapidApp 1.1 is from the IRIX 5.3 days, it might be looking for a NetLS license.

I had gotten RapidApp 1.2.1 working on 6.5.30. but after some time it stopped working in the same way you described. Instead I used Bx which is pretty much Rapidapp but works. Not sure what is causing the issues.

Its an alternative to Rapidapp which is Its pretty much the same thing. I don't know where I got it but here it is. https://4dwm.com/Software/Files/Bx.tar.gz

You install it with this windows like installer. Its quite neat. The license should be in there aswell.

Did you try RapidApp 1.2.1? For me it opens the help menu then segmentation faults. The weird part is it used to work on that same system and install of irix.

Bx is short for Builder Xcessory, it's a GUI builder that uses the Motif widget set. ICS in Boston will still sell you the most recent version, though it's been many years since they've actively marketed it.

Now that I think of it, BX Pro (the most recent version from ICS) is available (with a working license!) on my website:
