how do I run a pci ethernet card in an o2
So I have an o2 which appears to have broken ec0 port. It has a pci single ether instllalled I assume to get around this. When I set up irix and got ec1 I gave it a hostname an ip. Then I did dhcp after rebooting It got an ip and if I enter one that a system is currently using it will give me a warning so I know its connecting. I selected ec1 as my primary and rebooted still no connection through the browser. Everytime I reboot I get the message:

ec1 : full duplex mode not supported.

Ideas?

just tried ftp and I can ftp in to the machine interesting....files can also be transferred
hinv reports PCI FAST Ethernet : ec1 10/100mb, bus 0 slot 3 0x104c rev 3 very interesting

answer: If you clone a disk and put it in another machine like I did, set the hostname to something different as well as the ip then reset it to the original of the first machine and it should work for some reason. No drivers needed.
