Posting Bounties: Rules and Guidelines
First off, let me address a few questions:
What is a bounty? - A bounty is a reward, usually money, posted in exchange for development work.
Who can post a bounty? - Anyone can.
How are bounties handled? - Please read our rules and guidelines.
Rules
- You must post a monetary bounty reward. You can also post equivalent rewards, i.e. hardware, but you must leave it up to the developer who completes the bounty to choose.
- Use our template for writing a bounty post, this ensures that you provide accurate info.
- Bounties must be doled out on a first-come, first-serve basis.
- You may post partial bounty rewards for milestones, but they must be proportional.
- Payment arrangements must be handled with the developer within 30 days.
- Failure to pay out a bounty will end your ability to participate in this section of a board.
Guidelines
- Etiquette should be had in a thread. Please keep it topical and down to either: adding your own reward on top of the bounty, discussing the development goals of the bounty, asking questions about the terms, etc.
- If you are financially no longer able to carry out a bounty, it is strongly encouraged to contact a mod to close the bounty, even on a temporary basis.
- Be clear yet concise in your terms.
