RWBY - yes, I'm going there
(the forum sub-topic description does say "and Japan influenced," so...)

I am totally comfortable in admitting that I am completely obsessed with RWBY. I'm almost through all the volumes on Rooster Teeth's YT channel, and am already planning on re-watching it as soon as I'm finished. I've been a fan of Monty Oum since the late 2000's, and never tire of watching his fight choreography. Yes, RWBY volume 1 and 2 have some animation issues when the characters are not fighting, but I find those easy to overlook.

I know RWBY is very polarizing, but I for one love the dramatic story arch change and tempo from Volume 2 to 3, the Blake-Yang slow burn (yes, I'm a Bumbleby shipper to the core), and the story development of both protagonists as well as antagonists. There's also some truly spectacular scenery animation, as well as 2D scene animations.

Watched a bit of it with some friends a while back. 'Salright. Looks like a GameCube in-engine cutscene and the story is strictly Saturday-morning middle-schooler material, but given that it's pretty engaging.

RWBY has some awesome characters. I did commission someone with Neo Politan in a goth lolita dress, and had it as my avatar for a while. Yang Xiao Long is quite funny; but I find the way her name is pronounced irritatingly incorrect, as it's Yah-ng, with a long ah sound in Chinese. Not yay-ng, as they say it.
