Personal Iris ATX conversion

Personal Iris ATX conversion
The power supply in my Personal Iris is dead. The person I originally got it from had said as much, and had an extra wiring harness that he had intended to use for an ATX conversion, but never got around to. Well, it some years later and I'd like to get this thing working. I can find many references to this being done, but can't find information on how to do it, or documentation for the pin arrangement for the Personal Iris

Ah-ha, found a guide in the irixnet archives of sgistuff!

RE: Personal Iris ATX conversion
Keep in mind that this was about an AT power supply conversion, you'll have some trouble to find an ATX PSU that will supply enough power on the +5V rail (45A). Also, if you do find an AT PSU (not ATX), it will be nearly as old as the Personal IRIS and chances are it's just going to go bad as well in the near future.

That's why I went with an industrial power supply: https://forums.irixnet.org/thread-1468-p...l#pid10036

You can find these things (Power-One PFC375-4000) on eBay.

ATX PSUs also don't have a hard power-on , unlike AT PSUs which basically have a mains switch rather than a momentary soft power-on/off.
