Okay now after having rebooted Tezro I have a working live video 1920x1080 50i without any issues and imported frames into Flame. I have to thank the following members for their input (in chronological order):

What I learned is: putting adapters in front of a pair of 3M-MDR-26 cables does not work.
What works is cutting an 12ft Avid DigiLink Cable in half and resolder the wires.
