Pokémon
I have long been a Pokémon game fan, especially Gen 1-3. My favorite is absolutely Pokémon Emerald as that dates to my middle school days.
Pokémon has a special place in my childhood since I watched the incredibly poorly made and dubbed first seasons of Pokémon Gen 1 and 2. Height of the 4kids debacle.
Meanwhile, my girlfriend I've been with since mid 2019 is a Pokémon fanatic, but as she's somewhat younger than me she has a whole different generation she grew up with, namely Gen 4 and 5 which I consider to be low points. But she loves herself Mei/Rosa from Black and White, especially her character design. Though it is adorable to hear her swearing in Hrvatski or Italian in the other room when she loses a key character. Anyways, since she's such a fan I've been training up my various generations and introducing her to the GameCube stuff she missed out on, including Pokémon Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness.

RE: Pokémon
I still have a soft spot for the dub - it's hammy as hell, but in a good way. There's just a pretty solid cast chemistry with a lot of the characters, probably since most of them were ADV Films alums who worked together on Slayers. (Which made it really funny discovering that series years later, and is the primary reason I prefer the dub version...)

The thing I hate is the pointless censoring. Kids are smart enough to know what a freaking rice ball looks like.
