I know G.I.Joe has the boxes for PowerAnimator. Not sure who has designer here.

I think that the Alias Designer in 11 is basically just like Power Animator with the timeline/animation/keyframe action features removed.

I still have Alias 11 on one of my Octane Irix installs. Strangely, the render engine isn't as nice as the Power Animator 9 version. It is far more steppy in the gradient shading.

Yeah, I was thinking studio would be a cut down version of PA without the animation tools. Looking at the current Autodesk Alias 2019, it still looks very much like PA interface but geared towards modeling.

I have been looking for the PA documentation set for a while and all that pops up on fleabay seems to be the Studio version. There is one for sale now, but the price is pretty steep.. $1300 CAD.

Yeah, I have seen that Ebay, no discs, set. I think I have a thread about it here somewhere like a year ago.

I really really like the Power Animator ethos and would like to have everything from 3 through 9 boxes, discs, manuals.

But man are they super rare. I am betting if someone offered like $100 for the set he'd maybe take it. Its been there for a long while.

I almost got a Maya 1.0 box set but someone last second sniped my bid and I knew I should have put it up another $10 just to ensure it would snap back to me.

I was also going to download the latest Alias. It is still expensive but a 30 demo is still fun. Smile

I saw that. There was a Maya 1 black box set on fleabay for like 250CAD just yesterday, but I don’t see it now.

Its still there. The one I tried to get was a couple years ago. It was only nearing $100 near the end. It was also... box and manuals but no discs. Since I have a Maya Irix 1 installers I just wanted the boxes for fun and preservation.
