I remember those days! Good times!!!

This system has now become very useable, but its only downside is that it, together with its accompanying Quadro Plex seem to generate twice as much heat as the Tezro does, heating the room up ridiculously!!!

It's all part of the fun, Guess! Smile

You should get into sauna. =)

It's crazy how far we've come.
And yet... the absolute majority of the modern computers I interact with feel slower than my Octane or my Jornada 720.
It boils my blood to wait for 15 seconds to wait for Outlook to load, and how laggy and sluggish everything feels.

I assume you're complaining about having to use Outlook at your place of employ, because whatever reason in the world would there be to use any Microsoft program on a personally owned computer... Joy

Project: Temporarily lost at sea
Plan: World domination! Or something...

Unfortunately if you want to game, then you’re stuck with Microsoft!

I've actually got a spare SoundBlaster X-FI card in Cape Town, which I'll install in this machine! (It's also period correct!)

I'll get it when I'm next down there! (The Titan X and Revodrive 3 X 2, are still fitted in my i7 machine down there, and they will stay in that machine!)

This is the best 3DMark06 score the machine could muster before I slotted the low latency Patriot DDR2 RAM:

And it got this score with the new RAM slotted:

So the memory does make a marginal difference to the machines performance! (A 3% improvement to be exact!!!)

Using MSI Afterburner, the system statistics show that this machine in it's current configuration with the Quadro Plex can do what two 8800 Ultras in SLI simply wouldn't have been able to do, as they'd be out of video memory!

I've built this system to demonstrate the performance of the Nvidia Quadro Plex 1000 Model IV running on period specific hardware. (This video just shows the setup.)
