SGI VW 320

SGI VW 320
I never got around to installing W2K on this one. Always hung during early installation and I used several different W2K media.
I could never find the original NT4 iso for the VW 320. Installing this and upgrading to W2K is probably the easy route.
Has anyone come across the special SGI NT4 iso?

Nice reading you again!

RE: SGI VW 320
The main forum sections are only for MIPS-based systems primarily with a few exceptions, so I moved it here.

We don't allow distributing Windows images here, simply because Microsoft is litigious and I gotta keep us free of a lawsuit/DMCA. But you can probably look on Archive.org to find it, a lot of obscure media we don't share has been preserved there.

Technical problems should be sent my way.

There are copies of W2K ISOs on the internet archive. I strongly recommend you use the original release version with no service packs pre-installed.

I also recommend removing all PCI cards before installing the new OS.

Finally, once W2K is installed sglfb display driver can cause issues. You can use 'update driver' in device manager and use any old nVidia driver from the period to give you stability until you install the SGI drivers (SSK, Cobalt, Media).

Should be good to go after that!
