Yeah, Kumba and many others worked on that. I'm happy that he finally got it done, though I do stand by my assertion there's little reason to run Linux on SGI.

This is kinda cool but not all that useful. This is just the kernel that was fixed. There's no mention of graphics, networking, or any other hardware support aside from the basic Octane2 platform itself. I guess one could argue that it's a starting point but I honestly don't see it going anywhere. So that being said, I'm gonna be THAT guy for a minute... I don't really understand why people want to shoehorn Linux onto old workstations like these when the exotic OS is where the real fun in owning one is.
