Defining Serial Ports in SoftWindows/DOSbox
Hey Guys --

So before I fell into SGI, I was mainly working on IBM PS/2s.

We've been using an IBM Model 90, with the help of my little O2 to control a SONY EVI-D70 PTZ camera via VISCA over a serial port.

https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1...MUbOI6r_zn

There are some photos and videos of the setup, and you can see the program controlling the rotation and zoom. The O2 is being used for video input.

My query, how can I define in SoftWindows (2 or 95) the O2 serial port so that I have access to the camera from the O2. If I can do away with the Model 90, I can control the camera and see the output from the same box.

Any thoughts?

Thanks, Lorenzo

Presumably you've already seen this and it didn't work for you? Link:

On page 15 it says "See Setting Up Serial Peripherals in the Personal System Administration Guide for more information." That guide is available here, link:

Nope, missed this..

Tried the instructions in the first one before, didn't get too far... could have been because I missed the instructions in the second...

Let's see... Thanks.
